Senior Associate
Sunny is a senior associate in our commercial team. She provides advice with commercial and business, residential and conveyancing, leasing, subdivisions, project development, contracting out agreements and separation agreements, trusts, estate planning and asset protection, wills and powers of attorney, etc.

Sunny is fluent in Chinese and English.
Sunny's journey: Sunny was born in China and immigrated to New Zealand 20 years ago. She obtained her Chinese law degree from Wuhan University in 2002. When Sunny first arrived in New Zealand, she initially managed a project development company for a few years. Later she gained her New Zealand law degree from the University of Waikato. After Sunny was admitted to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2011, she joined a medium sized law firm in Tauranga.
In 2014, Sunny moved to Christchurch and kept practising as a general practising lawyer. Sunny joined Young Hunter in May of 2024 as part of the property and commercial team, and also assists with relationship property and immigration matters.
Sunny's values: Sunny is passionate about listening to clients and working with them to achieve their goals. She takes into account each client’s language, culture and principles to ensure their needs are completely fulfilled.
